From Argentine nature to the ancient Milanese palaces: the background of inspirations from which the Myin collections spring.
Luciana Gomez was born in Buenos Aires but her roots are Italian. His childhood spends in contact with the lush Argentine nature: scents, colors and images of that period will remain forever etched in his creative baggage.
The return to Italy coincides with the discovery of the passion for Italian creativity, fueled by long walks in the company of her father, an art lover, who reveals the secrets of all architecture to her.
The concept of design of the soul, on which the Myin brand is based, however, derives from another encounter: that between the Italian-Argentine designer and Carmelo Calanni Rindina, a craftsman by tradition and above all by choice, who shares with her the idea that the soul of things, like that of people, does not necessarily have to be exposed, because the charm of discovery makes everything more interesting.
So one day Luciana asks Carmelo to give substance to this intuition: to completely overturn the point of view on the aesthetics of the furniture. The result is the creation of furnishing objects with minimalist lines but with an explosive soul: complements with a clean and essential external design that, once opened, surprise the eye with an unexpected creativity of shapes and colors inspired by the nature of the his childhood.
The artistic style blends with the craftsmanship: every single piece is created by hand in Italy. True tailoring quality, which can reach up to complete customization. Myin creations therefore invent a new minimalism: furniture lines that do not immediately expose the soul, but leave those who own them the right to choose how and when to make it evident.
“This inspiration came from observing the typical Milanese architecture” says Luciana. "Many of the oldest and most prestigious buildings in the center have a simple, almost austere appearance on the outside. As you enter they reveal unexpected courtyards and gardens. Just like Myin, with its minimal lines that reveal a luxuriant creative soul inside. "
Thus was born the idea of creating a new brand, to go beyond the concept of interior design, and arrive at the deeper and more unexpected one of interior design. Myin is the synthesis of this evolution: the name means both my interiority and my interior design. "Mind the inside" is instead a real existential manifesto. What matters is knowing how to look inside, both at things and at people.
